RxDialogue, A New Company In The Informed Medical Communications Network, Complements DTC Advertising

NEW YORK, NY - June 28, 2005 - Informed Medical Communications (IMC) announced today the launch of RxDialogue, a new consumer relationship marketing company within the IMC medical marketing network. The new company will educate patients seeking resources about disease states and treatment options and offer pharmaceutical companies the opportunity to better communicate directly with consumers.

“Since patients tell us they never have enough time with their doctor and DTC advertising is clearly limited as an educational tool, new communication approaches are absolutely critical for patients living with chronic illnesses,” said Alexa B. Kimball, MD, Harvard Medical School.

"RxDialogue was formed in response to the industry’s need to expand patient communication beyond DTC advertising, to allow patients to get information and answers about treatments that they can’t get in a 60-second commercial.” said Michael Cunnion, the newly appointed President of RxDialogue. “Our aim is to improve the experience of the patient and, ultimately, elevate the dialogue between physicians and patients to improve health outcomes.”

Patient Dialogues are live educational meetings led by trained RxDialogue moderators and feature a panel of medical experts and patient advocates. Sessions are reinforced by a Web site, mailings and e-communications that will provide further information and sources for continuing the self-education process.

RxDialogue will also offer a range of other services including website design and advertising, compliance and persistency tools, and clinical trial recruitment.

About Informed Medical Communications
Informed Medical Communications (www.informedmedical.com), headquartered in New York City, was formed through the merger of The Peer Group, an industry innovator and leader in conducting peer-to-peer medical programs, and HealthTalk, a pioneer in providing disease information and support resources that empower patients and caregivers coping with serious medical conditions to proactively and effectively manage their diseases. The network delivers integrated marketing programs for patients and medical professionals, with the goal of improving the dialogue among patients and physicians in understanding health conditions and their medical options. IMC is a private-equity backed, privately held company.
